Nice Messages!

I've gotten some really nice emails and Facebook messages from various people and organizations as I've gone about my quest. So I wanted to share them here.

Also, a shout-out to Nancy Bishop and the good folks at the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau. They promoted this blog in an article about the historical markers!

You get the mixture of "personal" and facts just right. Frankly, I'm not the type to go out and read about other people's lives, all the more so if it has to do with finding/entering markers. And if I just wanted facts, I know where to find them.  But you manage to straddle both personal and factual just right, which is why I like what you do.

We've tagged your page and included a link to your blog in the comments of our own recent post on the Jacob Stroud historical marker. We hope you'll get the chance to visit Monroe County again soon!

  1. I am trying to find what happened to the "Village of Gulph Mills" marker that was last photographed by me, lying on someone's porch in Gulph Mills, Upper Merion Township. I can send you the photograph if you like. I'd love to find out what happened to it.

    1. I'm so sorry I haven't responded to this sooner! Most likely the marker became damaged (like being struck by a car) and was removed in order to be replaced. By all means send me the photo, though, because I'll be glad to see if I can find any information for you, and if you like I'll use your photo in a post about the marker and credit you as the photographer.
